- Baked
Potato in a Hurry
You got your mind set on a baked potato.
However, you have worked all day and there's no way that you are going to wait
an hour or two while your spud bakes in the oven. Not to worry. Follow these
steps to decent potato in twelve minutes or less (for two spuds).

1. You'll need a couple of potatoes, some
olive or vegetable oil, some salt, and saran wrap. Oh, the fork in the
photo was a mistake. DO NOT PIERCE THE SPUDS! |
 |
|
2. First,
wash the farm crud off your spuds in the sink! |
Oops no photo. |
| 3. Cover your potatoes in
oil and give them a little message. Yeah, the oil on your hands sucks. Get
over it. And don't get any weird ides either! |
 |
|
4. Sprinkle them with salt and rub them (the
spuds) some more. |
Oops no photo. |
|
5. Tear
off some saran and wrap your potatoes. |
 |
|
6. Nuke them for about 5 minutes on one
side, then turn them over and nuke them for another 5 and let them site
while you get the rest of the meal ready. |
 |
|
7. Just
before you are ready to eat, microwave them for one minute more. |
|
8. Plate
and serve with butter, sour cream, chopped chives, and a little shredded
cheese if you like. |
